Brasilia is the capital of all Brazilians: its population is comprised of people from all parts of this great country. Each of these people brings the culture of their regions, what makes Brasilia a rich and diverse city in its food and culture.
Today the city is formed by a mixture of characteristics of metropolis, administrative towns and even cities of the interior. Brasilia was inaugurated on April 21, 1960, by then President Juscelino Kubitschek de Oliveira. It is the third capital of Brazil, after Rio de Janeiro and Salvador. But his story began long before that.
